The Institute for Compound Semiconductors (ICS) has established a world-class compound semiconductor research and small scale manufacturing facility.
Available to all on an Open Access basis, the ICS provides a platform for fabrication on wafers up to 200mm in diameter where researchers and industry can work together to progress academic research to a point where it can be translated reliably and quickly into the production environment. Part of Cardiff University, the ICS aims to be the UK facility of choice with worldwide recognition for stimulating, facilitating and enabling CS research.
