In this talk we will introduce the concept of the atomic cladded waveguide and discuss the physics and the applications of light-vapor interactions at the nanoscale. We will start by demonstrating the spectroscopy of the cell, followed by demonstrating effects such as long coherence, velocity selection and optical information processing.
