Haisheng Rong (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Nankai University, Tianjin, China, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Heidelberg, Heidelberg, Germany. He is currently a Senior Principal Engineer with Intel Labs. He has made numerous contributions to the development and commercialization of silicon photonics technology with Intel.
